River Crusing: Embark & Go

Okay, okay, technically a river cruise isn’t one destination- it is multiple. But! In our defense, it is well worth looking into if you haven’t yet. River cruises offer a unique and leisurely way to explore various destinations while enjoying the comfort of a floating hotel. With a limited number of passengers on board, river cruises provide a more intimate setting compared to ocean cruises, allowing travelers to immerse themselves in the local culture and scenery at a relaxed pace. From cruising through picturesque villages to docking in the heart of historic cities, river cruises offer a convenient way to experience diverse landscapes and attractions without the hassle of constant packing and unpacking. Whether you are a history buff, a nature lover, or simply seeking a peaceful getaway, a river cruise can offer a delightful and unforgettable travel experience.

When to Visit: Much like other destinations we’ve highlighted, there is no bad time to take a river cruise. Due to the global availability, the real question is “when do you want to go?”

Who Should Visit: River cruises are ideal for those who want a fuss-free travel experience. It is also great for folks who want to soak in multiple stops but have limited time to do so.

How to Get There and Around: Depending on where you are traveling to, most travelers arrive to their embarkation port by air. From there, you get to your port and set sail! (This varies slightly if you’re able to book a pre/post cruise extension to get even more from your adventure.)

Fun Fact: Due to the lack of large waves, you’re highly unlikely to get seasick while on a river cruise.
